Pine Island Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Today started out good compared to the last few trips although it took a few minutes to have a trout in the livewell. There are alot of undersize trout hungry to eat a shiner with some bigger ones up to 19 1/2 inches. The wind picked up and it started getting rough in the open water so i decided to take a ride to some pot holes that was producing some fat trout. Jed boated the biggest of the day measuring 20 1/2. I always get a kick out of a trout that pulls drag. These fish were not wanting to come to the boat today. The guys had their limit of trout and we headed for some redfish and snook. With only one under size red, They had our number today. Brad had a big snook with a 20 foot run to trees break him off. Although the tide was high around 3 P.M. the bite wasnt what i thought it would be. It's funny how everytime i want to power pole up and ease down the shore a fish is hooked. Cody had a bite and missed it so we stayed for a minute or two when Brocks drag took off. He boated a 27 1/2 snook to put a smile on his face. He had told the guys that he would catch the biggest fish of the day and did.
