Strong South winds make for good snook and redfish bite

Pine Island Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fishing report for week endin 4/5, with strong south winds and higher than normal tides fishing oyster bars and mangrove shorelines has been good. With the Saddix family we caught snook up to 4-6 lb. and redfish up to 8 lbs.on live shinners.

There are good numbers of schooling trout, mackeral,bluefish and a few small sharks in 4-6 ft.of water near grassy bottom.

Tarpon are just around the corner. There are still a few openings in late April and May.
