Pine Island Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report
Tide Walker Charters, Pineland Marina, Pine Island, Fl 33922 today posting for the Bill B. Tarpon Charter of April 28, 2017. Bill B. Landed a 70", 34" Girth, Florida Tarpon today after a 38 minute fight. The fish traversed nearly 3/4 mile from the place it was hooked to the point where it was landed by Captain Russ Walker inside Pine Island Sound inter Coastal East of Foster Point in 7 feet of water. The rod furnished by Tide Walker Charters was a 7' Fin Nor 15/30 utilizing a 750 Spin Fisher PENN reel, 80 lb. braided line, 60 # Fluorocarbon leader and a 7 ought Gamakatsu Circle hook. The Bait used was a live 4" Pinfish. Estimated weight by length and girth was 120 pounds. Congratulations Bill. Well Done Sir.
This fish was released very tired but unharmed.
