Cape Canaveral Charter Fishing

Capt. Chris Cameron
November 6, 2015
Port Canaveral - Saltwater Fishing Report

Canaveral has finally been picking up. The pogies and mullet are in full swing and theres many species following the bait. We are still seeing some tarpon mixed in with snook, bull reds and plenty of sharks. You can find the mullet much closer to the beach and the pogies will be just offshore of that. Look for them flipping on the surface as well as the mudd balls.
Using fish finder rigs and knocker rigs with a 1 oz weight seem to be working just fine with a 6/0 circle hook. You can hook the pogies through the lips or even through the tail and giving them some slack to swim around.
further offshore we are seeing the kings starting to eat. Also mixed with them are some mahi and cobia the last few weeks. Sails and wahoo are not uncommon this time of year either.
The best areas seem to be the reefs as usual in 70 feet of water.
Good luck and we hope to see you out there!
