Port St. Lucie - Saltwater Fishing Report

I took a couple from up north out to the snapper hole yesterday. Forecast was a tad wrong what a surprise on the way out we had a solid 3 foot seas a with a fair number of 4 footers mixed in the period was under 4 seconds compared to the 8 seconds the forecast predicted. Once we were out there we had a tremendous current which prohibited my trolling motor from keeping us on spot so we drifted the area. The sea surface temperature was also fairly close the warmest I saw was 67 degrees. The water clarity was good at around 25 feet.
We had a lot of sharks around us but since we kept moving the drift they were manageable. They caught a lot of fish including Gray Trigger, Lane snappers, black sea bass, porgies, spinner sharks, grunts, and lizard fish. By the end of the day they had a nice amount in the cooler and left with a nice bag full of tasty fillets
