Port St. Lucie - Saltwater Fishing Report

I took a group out to the snapper-hole bottom fishing. The morning seas were nice and flat wind out of the North very light, at the snapper-hole sea temperature was 75 degrees water clarity was about 30 feet. We had a nice steady bite all day long. Lots of grunts as usual, a few spinner sharks, lots of lane snapper, a bunch of version snapper all short and a lot of trigger fish many were very nice size a few shorts. Then a pair of dolphin swam by the tossed out a couple of live baits and caught both of them. First in the boat was the female at 34" and then a nice size bull at 37". The winds picked up at about 11:30 we headed back at 1:00 pm seas were 2 to 3 feet and close around a 4 second period, the wind also swung around to the south east which made for a little bumpier ride home I was still able to maintain 18 knots
