Lane Snapper at the snapper hole

Capt. Mark Rosen
December 24, 2017
Port St. Lucie - Saltwater Fishing Report

I was back at the snapper hole again. The seas were nice and flat, sea temperature was 75 degrees. The water clarity still wasn't very good only about 10 feet. We had constant action all day. Lots of nice size lane snapper and vermilion snapper, we also caught a short mangrove snapper. We had lots of large trigger fish along with several shorts we released. We also hooked a large lemon shark they fought the fish for over an hour. Since I was anchored using my I-Pilot I was able to come off anchor right away and we were able to chase the fish down, we traveled well over a ½ mile. We also caught and released a 3 foot moray eel.
