Sarasota - Saltwater Fishing Report
The trout bite was excellent this week in Sarasota! Clients on fishing charters caught speckled trout to 24" throughout the area, every flat seemed to hold fish. We did have to deal with some wind, and I cancelled on Wednesday, but it did not keep the fish from chewing. Most were caught using Bass Assassin jigs and Gulp Shrimp, though a few hit free lined live shrimp. Marina Jacks, Radio Tower, Middlegrounds, and Stephen's Pt all held good numbers of fish. Ladyfish were also numerous with Spanish mackerel, bluefish, grouper, sharks, and big sailcats mixed in.
