July report for Chokoloskee - Here in the Everglades National Park, the weather in July is fairly predictable, as are the fishing patterns. Day time air temperatures are now hovering around 92 degrees each day, bringing the water temperatures up to 87 degrees.

This past week - The fishing this past week in Estero Bay continues to be extremely consistant. There is plenty of bait on the nearshore reefs in the form of threadfin herrings and the snook are willing to take it. Freelined threads on 2/0 circle hooks will work be more...

Next Fishing Trip will be 27July2011 - SW FL, especially Pine Island, is not the place to be this summer. The mosquitos are simply overwhelming, vicious, and blood sucking. Locals say it is the worst year in recent memory.
