St. Augustine - Saltwater Fishing Report

The bite this week has been tough, not only has it been blowing 20+ from the west but with the full moon the water levels have dropped. Fishing high tides has been like fishing low tides and low tides, well is completely dry. When there is a huge swing in tide the fish seem to turn off and wait it out unless fishing deeper water like the Inlets and ICW.
Fishing troughs on the last of the incoming tide with shrimp has helped my anlger put fish in the boat this past week. Lady fish, Blues, Trout and Black Drum were some of the species caught while free lining or fishing shrimp on the bottom.
If the tide got high enough we would fish the the flats for Redfish were most of them this week fell for cut lady fish.

Target Species:

Redfish, Trout, Black Drum, Lady Fish
