St. Petersburg - Saltwater Fishing Report

Clearwater Fishing Company Report:
Spring has arrived and the fishing will continue to get better as the days go on!
Capt. Mike has been fishing the flats of Tampa Bay and St. Pete, finding consistent action with redfish, snook, and trout. These fish provide an intense, challenging fight as they jump and run time and time again. Whitebait fished near mangrove shorelines continues to produce good numbers of fish. As the waters continue to warm and bait becomes more abundant these snook and redfish will become even more active. Nearshore fishing for fish such as grouper and snapper off of St. Pete Beach and Clearwater Beach has been productive as well. Fishing live or dead baits near structure or ledges has produced constant rod bending action for excellent eating fish like red grouper.
Capt. Spencer has been fishing the St. Pete Beach and lower Tampa Bay area, producing results for sheepshead and snapper using live shrimp fished around rock piles and structure. Guests can expect constant action and fish fillets to take home for a delicious meal with this type of fishing. Snook and redfish are being caught on the shallow grass flats and along mangrove shorelines near Fort De Soto and the Skyway Bridge. Fishing whitebait in these areas has been producing great results and will only continue to improve as water temperatures increase.
