Stuart - Saltwater Fishing Report

April 28:

8-12 mahis to 16lbs. Limit of amberjacks 20-40 lbs. Missed a sail many times, lol. And pulled hooks on 3 Cobia 1 was a good one. Oh what could've been.

Sorry no pics today. Been on phone most of the day dealing with an unexpected death in the family.

April 27:

We spent the last two days working on the Kickin Tires in preparation for her month long journey to Boat Harbor in the Bahamas. AC work, oil change, new AP compass, wax, Polish, shop and load. Couple 13 hour days. Ready to get back to fishing tmrw!

April 25:

Fished today with memebers of the Ballantrae fishing club. Bottom fishing was next to non existent but we did have fair mahi action. Unfortunately we had some bad luck but we still caught 6 quality fish out of the 11 mahi bites we had. We lost some good ones unfortunately to just flat bad luck!

April 24:

We spent the last few days fishing out of Grand Cay in the Bahamas. Our goal was to try and dial in the boat for some blue marlin fishing. We left Stuart around 1:30pm on Thursday and reached grand cay around 7:00pm. We had a killer conch and lobster dinner and got rigged up for fishing the following day.

On Friday we came out of the gate with some quality mahi action and pulled a sailfish or white marlin off but it was hard to tell from the light angle. Then we had a blue marlin on our squid chain that peeled off to the short rigger lure but we pulled him off. Found some birds in the afternoon and raised a blue marlin around 400lbs that didn't bite! We pounded out the spot and caught and released a blue marlin around 150lbs!

On Saturday is ran back to where we finished up our fishing on Friday and we found some birds and had good tuna action catching 10 tuna to 45lbs. Fished back inshore and jumped a white marlin off and caught some mahis!

Sunday we fished our way home and it was slow with the backside of the full moon. We missed a sailfish caught some barracuda and a wahoo!
