Stuart - Saltwater Fishing Report

Welcome aboard the REEL BUSY and to our Stuart Florida Fishing Report. The seas conditions have been a bit sporty but the forecast is looking good. Dolphin are the main attraction this time of year and we're also catching blackfin tuna and sailfish.

The dolphin fishing's been good for us on most days catching 6 or 7 dolphin of 5 to 15 pounds. The packs of slammer dolphin that push through in April/May should start showing up any day now. Most of these slammer dolphin are 15 to 25 pounds and we catch 35 to 55 pound dolphin every year.

Stuart Florida is well known for it's red hot sailfish bite during the winter months but there's allot of sailfish around here during the spring and summer months. We've been getting 1 or 2 sailfish bites on most days trolling the current edges for dolphin/tuna.

Most of the blackfin tuna we're catching in Stuart are 5 to 10 pounds. Caught 1 yesterday that was 19 pounds and some will go 25. Most of the yellowfin tuna off the Bahamas Bank are 40 to 50 pounds and some will go 75 to 95 pounds.
