Stuart - Saltwater Fishing Report

Hello Fish Fans, The fishing off the coast of Stuart Florida and the Bahamas has been good to excellent this summer.

On the Stuart side of the gulfstream we've had a good dolphin bite 15 to 25 miles out. Most of the dolphin are 3 to 5 pounds this time of year with a few 7 to 10 pound dolphin in the mix. Blackfin tuna of 5 to 10 pounds are stacked up on a ridge 10 miles offshore but the some days the weeds have been so scattered about it's not fishable. Stuart Florida is known for it's winter sailfish bite but the summer sailfish bite is excellent. Sailfish are hanging around the reefs and wrecks 5 to 7 miles offshore. Kingfish and bonito will be in the mix and we'll catch and release at least a couple of sailfish on most days.

We've had several Bahamas Fishing Adventures so far this summer. It's Tuna Time off the Bahama Bank and we're catching yellowfin, blackfin and skipjack tuna. The yellowfin tuna have been 40 to 50 miles off the bank from Walkers Cay to Green Turtle Cay. There's hundreds of birds and an abundance of blackfin and skipjack tuna 20 miles off the Bank but the yellowfins we're further out last month. Call Capt. Wayne today and customize your own Bahamas Fishing Adventure. Take your pick or do it all. Trolling, deep dropping, reef fishing and snorkeling.
