Stuart - Saltwater Fishing Report

October 4
Today we took the Father/Son duo of Jim and James on a 1/2 day fishing trip looking for dolphin. With a cold front approaching I decided to by-pass looking for bait and go straight to trolling for dolphin and Sailfish. Well the fishing did not disappoint today. We got a jump on the weekend crowd and had a steady morning of action. Our morning charter caught Blackfin tuna, 8 Dolphin to 20lbs and James released his first Sailfish and we beat the weather back to the dock.
What an awesome day with great people. Look forward to fishing with this duo again in the near future.

October 5 - Afternoon
After the way the morning ended I was pretty fired up to get back offshore for our afternoon fishing trip. We had excellent fishing for dolphin and sailfish. We caught 12 out of 20 mahi bites with an average size of the fish being around 10lbs. We also caught a couple of blackfin tuna and released 1 out of 3 sailfish bites we had on our afternoon trip.

October 5 - Morning
This morning we fished a 1/2 day trip with repeat customer Rick. We had a tough start in the morning and didn't catch our first fish till 10am. But from 10-11:15 it was lock and load mahi action with a few critters thrown in. We ended up boxing 8 out of 12 mahi bites and caught some bonito on our morning 1/2 day deep sea fishing trip.
As with the river charter Marshal had this morning I feel like the first drastic change in weather of the season threw a curve ball in the morning fishing but once the weather and the fish settled to the change fishing was off the charts with action.

October 5 - River
Capt. Marshal took James and Jim fishing for a 1/2 day in the river this morning. Fishing was a little off after the big change in weather from the passing cold front but the guys had a great time anyway catching a handful of nice size jacks and releasing a couple of snook.
