The Fishing and Weather are Great

Capt. Nick Cremasco
December 6, 2017
Stuart - Saltwater Fishing Report

December 3:

I fished with repeat clients Kim and Pat Hauer yesterday for a full day. The guys wanted meat so that is what we focused on. We caught some live bait and went straight to bottom fishing. We picked away at some snappers, Seabass and Triggers. We had a load of Cobia pop up and hooked a 40lber on a jig but after 10 mins the fish came off. Went back to bottom fishing and hooked another decent Cobia 25lbs that was eaten by a shark. Of course we managed to catch 4 Cobia which all fell short of the 33" mark.

Throughout the rest of the day we caught 4 red grouper, ended up filling out snapper limit as well.

We trolled for a while but didn't have any quality bites. I switched to love baiting on a nice edge in 150ft for the last hour of the day where we caught 2-3 Mahis and had a couple cut offs.

December 2:

We had a fun day today with Repeat clients Bruce and Gracie. We also had Bruce's brother in law Jerry and Scott who was gifted a couple of split Charters from his wife for his anniversary.

We started the day catching some live bait and then went trolling. We caught a couple of mahis, a bonito, a skipjack and Bruce caught his first sailfish.

After the trolling bite dropped off we went Cobia fishing and saw 4 hooked 2 and landed 1. We bounced around and caught a dozen Genuine Reds to 15lbs. We also caught a dozen triggers, 7 mutton snappers, some small B Liners, some nice lanes, a keeper red Grouper and a throwback red grouper. We also caught some sea bass and Porgies.

Nice weather, good day, decent fishing, and great people!
