Stuart - Saltwater Fishing Report

Hello Fish Fans and welcome to our Stuart Florida Fishing Report. The repeated cold fronts of March left us with a hot and cold bite. Catch and release 6 sailfish on a 3/4 day and don't see another one for three days. Dolphin bites been the same. Catch a 5 to 10 dolphin one day and struggle to find one or two the next.
The good news is April is just around the corner and the weather looks to be settling down just in time. April and May are the top two months of the year for big dolphin off the coast of Stuart Florida.

The spring dolphin run is usually at it's best from mid April thru mid May. Slammer dolphin of 15 to 25 pounds will be pushing through in small packs and when they blast through the spread it's game on.
The sailfish bite will continue to be hit and miss throughout the spring. There'll be scattered about so we'll have days with 3 or 4 sailfish bites and there'll be days we never see one.

Blackfin tuna of 7 to 10 pounds stack up on a ridge 10 miles east of Stuart during the spring and summer months. The last cold front pushed them out but they should be back as early as next week with the calming of the seas.
Kingfish, amberjack and cobia will be showing up around the reefs and wrecks this month.
