Stuart - Saltwater Fishing Report

Hello Fish Fans, Welcome aboard the REEL BUSY and to our Stuart Florida Fishing report. Call them what you will Mahi-mahi or Dolphin everybody loves to catch and eat these beautiful fish.

The last two months the dolphin bite has been red hot the first couple of weeks and spectacular mid month tapering off after that. We caught 5 to 10 everyday and caught over 30 on the 13th of January. Chances are we'll see more of the same as we move into February and we still have a few dates open.

The sailfish bite has been disappointing so far this year but the good news is there's allot sailfish north of us from Ponce Inlet to Jacksonville. The recent cold fronts and big swells pushing through later this week should get them on the move. I'd expect a red hot sailfish bite as we move into February again this year. Acres of Spanish sardines and threadfin herring usually show up in February with, sailfish, kingfish, dolphin and Cobia in Tow.

We've been catching a few blackfin tuna of 15 to 25 pounds. The tuna bite is always hit and miss for us this time of year but it's always nice to catch a couple tunas with a fish box full of dolphin.
Kingfish have arrived around the reefs and wrecks and will continue to be more plentiful as we transition from winter to springtime.
