North Wind Prime Time

Capt. Nick Cremasco
December 1, 2015
Stuart - Saltwater Fishing Report

November 21:

This afternoon we had the honor of taking some of Americas Heroes fishing for a afternoon 1/2 day fishing charter. After the mornings excellent dolphin fishing I had high expectations. BUT IT IS FISHING. After an 1.5hrs of trolling around we had only had 1 mahi bite and caught 1 bonito. So we decided to switch gears to give these guys and gals some more action. We had excellent action on the bottom catching 19 mutton snapper, 8 Lane snapper, 3 Mangrove snapper, a nice sized Genuine Red Snapper, Amberjack, Sea Bass, Porgies, Triggerfish and a ton of Atlantic Sharpnose sharks. We had to cut the day about 1/2 hour short because of weather but we had a great time and I can't wait to do it again.

November 21:

We had an excellent morning 1/2 day fishing charter with repeat client Dr. Ben and his guest. We kept 16 mahis and let a few go. We had probably 25 dolphin bites on our morning 1/2 day fishing charter. Dolphin fishing was lock and load and they were coming 2, 3, 4 at a time. Numbers at up quick on morning 1/2 day fishing charters when they come like that. Everyone including Marshall and myself went home with a nice bag of fish.

November 22:

Today we had a little tournament practice on the kickin Tires with Cole and Philip. We had adverse conditions most of the day with plenty of rain and West wind as a front passed through. HOWEVER, we had excellent fishing given the conditions. On our practice day fishing out of Stuart Florida we raised 8 sailfish and had 7 bites. We also caught a nice box of mahis for dinner. I think we kept 10 and let some other Mahis go. The biggest were around 10-12lbs.

November 23:

Big expectations for today after yesterdays great fishing on adverse conditions. However we had green water and South current out to 390ft. We did manage to release 2 sailfish which were the only two sail bites we had. We did keep 12 mahi and let a bunch go. Great fishing going on if the weather holds. Give me a call to book your Stuart Local fishing charter, deep sea fishing charters for sailfish, charter fishing for dolphin.

November 28:

Due to high winds and high seas from a stalled high pressure system Stuart Florida fishing charters continue to get cancelled. This is my worst November on record since I started my business in 2009. I hope we get a break for all of our bookings in December and January.

The fishing has been excellent, but, the weather, not for the faint at heart. Don't let it discourage you from booking your charter. If the weather is good for your day the fishing should be pretty darn good.
