Best Sailfish Bite In A Decade, Get It While You Can!

Stuart - Saltwater Fishing Report

We had an awesome day aboard the Alikai trolling dead bait out of Stuart. We started out pretty strong releasing 8-11 sails in the first 45 minutes of fishing. Things settled a little and we had some bad luck and a streak going 1-6 at one point with pulled hooks in the circle and some chaffed off fish.
After lunch time we were stuck on 16 releases for a while then we hooked our 2nd quadruple header of the day. We got split up pretty bad and had to throw one of our Penn Fathom 40s overboard with our Penn Ally rod overboard with a life jacket attached so we didn't get spooled. We ended up catching all 4 fish.
When the smoke cleared, Marhsal and I both tied or personal best for releases out of Stuart with 21 today. My other 21 was last year but live baiting. This is my personal best trolling as a captain locally and bested our two time charter record of 16 on the DayMaker. We had 34 bites today only a few heads coming back. Most fish were pulled off in the circle, we burned a fish off and chaffed 3 off.
All in all, an EPIC day. This is the best sailfishing in 7-8 years going on now. If you want to catch sails call and book a trip ASAP. 772-405-0091
