Stuart - Saltwater Fishing Report

Unseasonably warm winter temps have made for some great inshore fishing in the Stuart area. Although snook season is currently closed the catch and release action has been on fire in the southern end of the Indian River as well as all throughout the St.Lucie River.

Live white baits have been the key. Although baits are smaller this time of the year the fish are actively feeding all through the day. Targeting heavy structure areas with moving water has been the key. There also has been plenty of jacks and trout mixed in as well. I's a great time to be on the water. We've gotten offshore several when conditions allow but the pelagic bite has been a bit inconsistent. The mass of the sailfish still seem to be to the north.

Scattered dolphin have been caught between 80'-200'. Hopefully with a couple cold fronts more sails will show. Targeting them off the bay boat is a blast.
Stuart Fishing Forecast:

Warm temps are forecasted ahead so conditions shouldn't change much.
Target Species:

snook, trout, redfish, sailfish, dolphin
