Stuart - Saltwater Fishing Report

August 13:
Today we fished with mike and his guest and the idea was to bottom fish because that has been the most productive the last couple of weeks. We ended up catching some snapper, a 1/2 dozen Amberjack to 35lbs and we released a sailfish as well.
Not great, but not bad for our Stuart charter fishing trip

August 16:
We just got in from our wahoo/sword charter from last night. We left late because of weather and decided to go straight to fishing for swordfish and then we would high speed a couple of hours in the morning for wahoo. We started fishing around 11pm and hooked a nice size fish around 200lbs at 12:10. Unfortunately the fish came off after a brief battle. We had a couple of other bites in the sequence and then the wind came West at 2am and the bite shut-off. We did not have another bite fishing for swordfish or trolling for wahoo in the morning.
Looking forward to the next trip. With the right wind the charter fishing for swordfish should be great. 6 bites in two trips and we have not been able to fish a full night yet because of weather.

August 16:
Today we fished with Troy and his guest from Orlando Fl. We had great fishing after finally catching some bait. Bait was tough but fishing was great. We caught 3 Cobia, Amberjack, Almaco Jacks, Grouper, Snapper, Sea Bass and Triggerfish. Non-stop action on a Stuart Fl fishing charter.

August 18:
We put the boat in the yard today for some annual TLC. We hauled the boat for wax and bottom paint. We are servicing the after cooler, and the heat coat on the riser. The engine is being painted and a leak on the trim tab is being fixed as well. Look forward to being in the water on Friday and fishing again on Saturday.
