Stuart - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fishing Fans,
First off Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Mandy, Zane and I wish you and your families a wonderful and safe Holiday together.
On another note, Swordfishing continues to be great when we can get out. Just the other night we caught 3 swordfish a spectacular night of fishing. All three fish were the first for our customers Bill, Jed, and Walt and were released. We also caught a 25lb bull dolphin.

When the current has not been to strong the bottom fishing has been pretty good. We have caught Grouper to 20+lbs, Cobia, and Amberjacks. Grouper fishing is very strong this time of year, the Grouper move from the North to the South with the ground swell and lock up on our local bottom to spawn.

Sailfishing was pretty good preceding the last blow and before the full moon. Things had slacked off last week but have improved drastically over the weekend during the sailfish tournament running out of Palm Beach. The top boat caught 9 sails yesterday just south of the Stuart Inlet. Another cold front though mild in temperature is going to push through over Thanksgiving and the fishing should continue to improve for the Dolphin and the Sails. Remember the peak of the Sailfish migration will be in full swing in just a few short weeks and will last through mid February. Dolphin fishing will improve with each passing front too although most fish will be less than 20lbs.

Winter wahoo fishing charters are fast approaching too. We will be running two day charters to the Bahamas to fish for Wahoo. Passports will be required for this trip. Look forward to hearing from you and taking you fishing soon.
