Anna Maria fly fishing, Tampa Bay, and St Pete Beach

Capt. Nick Angelo
January 6, 2016
Tampa Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fly fishing Anna Maria Island, St Pete Beach, on up the coast to Crystal River has been nothing but good times over the holidays. Many family and begining fly fisherman took advantage of the unseasonably warm weather and caught a variety of species on fly and light tackle. This is a great time of year for these types of trips. Snook, mackerel, trout, ladykillers, and huge jacks were cooperative and rewarded anglers with great action. Sightfishing snook has been fun and the skinny water Redfishing should pick up as the cold air is finally starting to push through. If you are in town this winter make sure to give fly fishing and light tackle fishing a try for a new experience!

So get out there and wet a line!!
