Bottom Fishing the Gulf of Mexico

Capt. Pedro Borrego
March 9, 2016
Tampa Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Well, I have to say that the mangrove snapper fishing has been great this year - I hope it stays that way too. Red Grouper has also been good, as long as you go deep, 100+. The gag grouper are in the shallower water, but we can't keep then until the 1st of June. The new size limit for gags is now 24", not 22" anymore, but the bag limit is still 2 per person. Amberjacks are on the wrecks and hungry too. King mackerel should start showing up by the end of this month and then the trolling will begin.
