Tampa Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report
Ran a morning and afternoon trip on Father's day. The morning trip was pleasant with a light breeze to keep things a little cooler.
We had a decent mackerel bite with a few really good sized snapper. The bay is producing some big inshore snapper we're catching them from 15 to 19 inches. These little fighters really but up a battle on light spinning tackle. The trick is hooking them.
The afternoon trip was productive but the winds pickup up and blew a gale. The bay probably had 2 to 3 footers. Even with the to our backs we managed to land 25 to 30 snook and some really nice trout to 24 inches.
We used free lined greenbacks on both trips.
Target Species:
Snook, Mackerel, Redfish, Tarpon, Bluefish, Snapper, Gag Grouper
