Good Friends Fishing

Capt. Woody Gore

Tampa Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Good Friends Fishing 01/28/2009
Had some clients out today that have become good friends over the years. They are from the St. Louis area where it's really cold. The bite started of slow but as the tide gained momentum they started to eat. Had to move around a bit but when we found em' it was fish-on for about 2 hours. They caught and release about 40 trout with several in the 25 to 37 inch range… some really nice fish.

We used shrimp under a popping cork and made our cast toward the incoming tide. We would let it drift back with the current, pop the cork a few times and it would disappear.

The bite slowed as the water became milky from the south wind.
