Tampa Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Tampa Bay fishing report for 2019 March 31st
The last 2 weeks the Snook fishing has been the best I've seen in years.
Not only has the bite been excellent, the fish have been good size most of the fish are 18" to 25″, but so far on each trip we're hooking into some over 30″.
Redfish have been hit-and-miss for me. I'm actually going scouting on Sunday with my wife and hitting some areas to see if they're holding some redfish. I've got a pretty it good idea where the fish are I just want to make sure for my up—coming trips this week. The sheepshead bite is starting to slow down; we're still catching a few fish but a lot of small males with a couple of the bigger fish mixed in. Spanish mackerel are still around and should stick around through the remainder of the Spring and into summer.

April is one of my favorite months for fishing Tampa Bay as it's not too hot and the bite is outstanding. March was excellent and I think April's going to be even better.
If you're heading to the Tampa, Clearwater, St Petersburg, or the Tarpon Springs area and are looking for a fun light tackle backcountry action packed fishing trip look no further than Rivers to Bay fishing charters. Rivers to Bay is a professional fishing charter on a 24′ Triton Bay boat, using top of the line tackle, and bringing over 17 years of guiding experience and a lifetime love of fishing.

Have a great day, tight lines… Capt. John
