Snook and Mackerel

Capt. Dustin Hilliard
September 29, 2016
Tampa Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

The snook bite has been consistent on the outgoing tide with pilchards being the bait of choice. Water clarity has come back since the hurricane dirtied things up a bit. The mackerel bite has also been consistent on green backs with long shank hooks to help prevent break offs. Look for the kingfish to start moving as water temps start dropping along with the gag grouper. There are still a few tarpon around the bridges if you would like to take a shot at one!
