Tampa Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Reel Till U Feel Charters fishing report for Tampa Bay.
April is one of my favorite months to fish Tampa Bay. The bait is just about everywhere and the fish are eating well. With the arrival of the bait has the Spanish Mackerel willing to eat it along with spoons and plugs. A chum bag over the side along with some cut up bait pieces has keep the Mackerel chewing along with some Cobia coming into the chum slick.
Snook are all over, filling their bellies up in preparation for spawning. Which occurs around the New and Full Moon in May.
Some nice Trout are being landed, most are in the slot of 15 - 19 inches with a few larger ones 24 plus inches.

The Redfish bite is getting better. Not seeing large schools but single fish running the flats and mangrove shore line. Some nice size Bonnethead Sharks have been landed while fishing the flats.

One of the best tasting fish that comes out of Tampa Bay is the Mangrove Snappers. Pound for pound these fish will give you a nice fight on light tackle. Small Shrimp, cut pieces of shrimp, Live Green Backs is the ticket to these tastee critters.
Now is the time to get outdoors and enjoy the Florida sun.
