Tampa Bay Snook On Flats And Beaches!

Tampa Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

As of lately the snook fishing in lower
Tampa Bay has been nothing short of spectacular!

Male snook in the 20-26 inch range have invaded
the flats and are hungrier than a starved dog
with two tapeworms. Look for moving water in
areas with structure(oyster bars,rock piles)
or pot holes, flip a sardine and it's on like
"Donkey Kong"!

Breeder size size females are laid up on the
beach. They tend to feed early in the morning
or late in the afternoon when it's not so dang
hot out. Try free lining a pinfish or grunt in
the break along the beach and you may end up
with a trophy size snook. Make sure you handle
these fat girls with a little T.L.C. when you
let them go (they are in spawn). Remember a
fatigued fish can mean a dead one.

Have safe and quality day on the water.
