Ten Thousand Islands - Saltwater Fishing Report

Well the first cold front has finally made it all the way down. A break from the Africa like heat has been welcomed by many anglers as well as the fish.
Strong northeasterly winds blow the nutrient rich plankton filled waters offshore, providing cleaner waters and lower tides.
Time for sight fishing to begin! Time for fish to start their way to the darker back waters in search of their winter hoods.
No more need for the first light excursions, now we wait for the sun to rise and warm up the shallow muddy coves in search for snook and red fish.
As weeks move along winter patterns move into transition. The fin fish will start to move offshore and the crabs and shrimp headline the menu.
Slower presentations, and when the temp really starts to drop, it will be time to start down sizing our offerings.

This is where the quiet stalking begins, hunting our targets with ninja like moves, creeping slowly searching for the weary snook or redfish.
Don't let the winter detour you from fishing, here in the Everglades the sight fishing is at its finest. Protected waters, warmer than anywhere else in the US.still provides some of the best fishing in the world. So come down and try sight fishing the shallows of the 'Glades
