Ten Thousand Islands - Saltwater Fishing Report

I just can't believe how good of a day we had fishing today! As if nothing happened last week with the major cold front and the fish kill.
It just really proved to me how rich this area is in fish.
On the outside today we wrecked the red fish. A low strong incoming tide brought massive numbers of hungry fish. Scarfing on the dead mojarras like there was no tomorrow.

All fish were caught on flyrods with weighted white flies. Reds averaged between 4 and 10 pounds. These fish were absolutely obese! Stuffing themselves on everything.

We also caught some very nice sea trout off the points in a little deeper water, close to grass. Once again fish took weighted white flies.
All in all it was a really active day of fishing here in the Everglades despite last week.
Ten Thousand Islands Fishing Forecast:

As the warmer weather continues, expect some stellar red fishing as well as trout and pompano.
Target Species:

red fish, snook, or anything else that eats the fly.
