Ten Thousand Islands - Saltwater Fishing Report

Well the typical spring winds of March have been here making conditions tough! We'll get a couple nice days, watch the water temp rise as far as 74 and tarpon fever kicks in. They pop up and just when you think its ready to start the front comes and blows 25 -30 and chills it back down!!!
On the nicer days the snook and redfish have been taking flies like crazy in the lower tide stages. Incoming tide the snook bite has been consistent. For the spinning rod the top water plugs, jerkbaits and jigs have doing good. Higer stages of the tide I have been looking for tarpon on the finer days. I have found a few but they haven't been to willing to eat. I think we need stable weather for them to get comfortable.
Hopefully this will be the last strong front and everything comes together. Until my next report, tight lines and screamings drags to all.
Ten Thousand Islands Fishing Forecast:

If stable weather prevails tarpon should move in strong with the next new moon. Redfish and snook fishing should only get better.
Target Species:

Snook, tarpon, red fish...."anything that'll eat a fly"
