Ten Thousand Islands - Saltwater Fishing Report

On April 24 I took Sal out from New York. We were in the backwater and saw juvenile tarpon roll. We hooked on 2 and got a 6 foot spinner shark that we fought for 3 hours.
On the 25th and 26th I took out a Fishing Club out of Sarasota through Everglades Angler. The Ten Thousand Island water was murky from all the winds, but it was clear off shore. Tarpon was not rolling, but a week prior they were there. We got on a school of black tip - seven in all- and some snook and mangrove snapper.
On the 28th I took out Jack and his girlfriend from Chicago. Still looking for tarpon rolling, but there were none in sight in the backwater. Winds would not allow us to get offshore. We were able to get some snook and 2 bull sharks that were 6 foot and 150 lbs.
29th took out Tom from Las Vegas. Still looking for tarpon. Still none showing offshore. Went into the backwater and were able to get 2 tarpon. One was 90 lbs and the 2nd was over 130 lbs. Also got a couple of jacks. Water temp 80 degrees in the shallows. Winds still a problem for water clarity.
Target Species:

tarpon, jack, snook , mangrove snapper
