Ten Thousand Islands - Saltwater Fishing Report

Winter in southwest Floridais absolute Paradise. So far it has been a mild winter, pleasent air temperatures calm winds and clear water has been the typical scenario each day. Water temps are in the upper 60's to low 70's.
Snook are still very active due to the warmer temp yet the redfish are sliding on the shorelines in good numbers. A few tarpon are around and usually show up when you are least prepared.
Flyfishing has been the technique of choice, sightfishing the shallows, hunting redfish in the coves or working current swept shoreline for snook lurking under the mangrove roots.
Spin fisherman throwing jigs in the deeper water are catching absolutely everything that swims in these waters this time of year. Pompano, trout, jacks and gag grouper are just a few.
So take advantage of some of the finest fishing in the winter the United States has to offer. Call and book a trip today to create a memory that will last forever.
