Titusville - Saltwater Fishing Report

Updated 5/11 Outstanding Catch Dept.- It was a good week with a coupleoutstanding catches. On Sunday and Monday I fished Mark Marsh, a flycaster from Jacksonville, and his friend Mike Bruce of Ocala. Sunday they got four reds between them in the Mosquito Lagoon, this in spite of being in fish almost all day. The fish were very fussy. Monday we went to the Indian River where they got ten reds, nine of which ranged between 13 and 18 pounds. The non-fly caught fish were fooled by Bass Assassins. The five fly caught fish took Maxx's Black Drum Clousers and Bunny Boogers.
On Tuesday Mike Deegan got a 25 pound red on a black Bunny Booger, just before the heavens started weeping. We got drenched but Mike didn't care!
Today in the Mosquito Lagoon I fished fly caster Pete Kazmier, a new graduate of the University of Tennessee medical school. Congratulations, Pete! Again, we were in fish all day, fussy, fussy fish. Pete got four slot fish on a black Wooly Bugger. He must have had at least 50 refusals. We tried several other flies too, as you might imagine.
This report may not be updated next week, as I will be in Cape Coral fishing for tarpon. I will update the report as soon as I get home the following week.
Fishing is great and I love my work!
