Lots of fish around

Capt. Dave Pinkham
September 10, 2008
Venice - Saltwater Fishing Report

This is a slow time for charters and that's really too bad because the fishing action has been great.

Snook are stacked up on all the inshore spots and I now am running bay trips on my new 16-foot Carolina Skiff. The boat is powered by a 50hp Yamaha 4-stoke and this is the perfect rig for slipping into shallow water and hooking up with a mess of snook, redfish, and trout.

Offshore there's plenty of fish around, of course the tough part has been rough seas due to the two passing hurricanes. The gulf should settle down by this weekend and we can get back to the business of catching fish.

More Fishing Reports:

Deep Sea Fishing aboard our offshore charter boat "Legacy". We are located directly on the Venice Inlet just 2 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico. The Gulf waters along the SW coast of Florida offer anglers some of the best fishing action in the country. We catch all sorts of fish such as grouper, snapper, cobia, king mackerel, shark, tuna, baracuda, and others. Our professional Captain and deckhand work hard to make sure you catch a lot of fish and have the best fishing trip of your life!
