Red Hot River Stripers!

Capt. Doug Nelms
August 20, 2012
Chattahoochee River - Freshwater Fishing Report

It just doesn't get any better than right now!!

I could close this fishing report with that opening line and feel like I have said everything that needs to be said. The weather is perfect, the fish are hungry, and we are just wearing them out on every trip on the Hooch!

Even though we have had some moderate temps in the mornings, the Morones have not left the river. We are averaging around 5 trophy fish for every trip, and as I said in the last report, I heard anglers saying repeatedly, "That is the largest striper I have ever caught!"

I am sure the fishing will be good right through September, but dates are becoming a premium now, so contact us if you want to be a part of this great season

His boat is a Ranger 2300 Bay Series powered by a 225 Yamaha 4-stroke motor. It is spacious and can fish up to 6 people! During the hot summer months he heads to the Chattahoochee River to pursue monster Striped bass. He fishes from a custom jet boat, built exclusively for fishing the river.
