Lake Allatoona - Carters Fishing Report Nov, ( Week 3 )

Capt. Robert Eidson
November 18, 2009
Lake Allatoona - Freshwater Fishing Report

This Lake Allatoona striper and hybrid report fishing report has been brought to you exclusively by Robert Eidson of First Bite Guide Service, 770-827-6282.

Line-sides Fishing is Fair. The lake has risen almost 8 feet since last weeks rains and there is debris scatter all over the lake from Little River all the way south to the dam. The storm we had last week also had high winds witch cover the lake with pine straw and has make it all most impossible to fish free-lines and planner boards and trolling is almost out of the question as well.

With all of this being said I had to move most of my trips from Allatoona to Carters this week. The bite all Carters Lake has been Fair for numbers and GREAT for big fish. We have caught Stripers up to 20 lbs this week and Hybrids pushing close to 11 lbs. The live bait bite has been fair. The best spot on the lake right now for live bait fishing is mid lake around Stumpy Island. The fish are hugging the bottom between 25-40 feet and will eat gizzard shad, thread-fin and trout. The Trolling bite is the best bite going on Carters. My clients this week have caught some of the biggest Hybrids I have ever seen on any lake in the state this week on Carters along with many stripers in the high teens. Again Stumpy Island is a great starting point but don't over look Camp Branch and Fisher Creek. I have done really well in both of these creeks this week.

Nov-Dec Special..
