Lake Allatoona - Freshwater Fishing Report

This Lake Allatoona fishing guides report for striper and hybrid has been brought to you exclusively by Robert Eidson of First Bite Guide Service, 770 827-6282. www.firstbiteguideservice.com Lake Allatoona, Georgia email: [email protected].

Line side fishing is Fair. Guys fishing this week is the same as last week change nothing. The lake is still stain from Little river to Redtop but is clear south of the bridge...The winter pattern is really starting to heat up. This past week my clients caught fish on many different techniques. Early in morning we did very well using Trout on planner board, free lines and even down lines where getting a bite or two right at sun up. By 930am the live bait bite really slows down. This is when you want to swap over to your U-Rigs. The U-rig bite is the strongest bite going right now. I have been doing very well pulling my rigs between 930am -1pm mid lake. The key to catching these fish is your speed. 2.5 miles and hour has been the best for me. We still have days open for Feb give me a call at 770 827-6282 if you would like to book a trip..

Special Report

Carters Lake The line-side bite on Carters is GOOD and most of the fish we are catching are between 15-30 lbs.. Big trout fished on Flat-lines and Planner Boards are working great .And this technique is producing fish all day. Last week we had a good bite up the river. But it seem to being slowing down do to dropping water temperatures . Look for these fish to move mid-lake. Doll Mountain and Worley creeks would be good starting points. The umbrella rig bite is strong on carters right now. Color doesn't seem to matter but speeds does. I am pulling my rigs 135 feet behind the boat at 3.1 - 3.5 miles and hour. If you would like to catch a trophy striper now is the time. Give me a call at 770 827-6282 to book your trip...
