Lake Allatoona Wintertime Striper Fishing.

Capt. Robert Eidson
February 2, 2009
Lake Allatoona - Freshwater Fishing Report

Today I got to fish with the Hewlett family and there good friend Rex. We decided to try Allatoona today but after 4 hours and only one fish in the boat. I decided to put the boat back on the trailer and take the Hewlett's to Carters. We got to Carters about 130pm and the bite was slow ( Allatoona slow ) to start. But as the sun started to set the fishing really pick up. We ended the day boating four good fish and miss a couple of more. The big fish of the day was caught by their buddy Rex and it weight in at 18.7 Lb's. I think if we would have started our day up on Carters that we would have loaded the boat.. But all in all not a back day. Just a little long for the captain......
