Lake Hartwell Fishing Forecast for June

Capt. Preston Harden
May 29, 2014
Lake Hartwell - Freshwater Fishing Report

Water temperature is 75°
Water level is full pool

Stripers and hybrids have been eating bait good. Most days, we have been running out of bait by mid-morning, catching 30 to 50 fish. Some big stripers and lots of nice hybrids have been in the mix. There has not been a lot of surface activity, but that could change at any time. June should be even better as the fish move out of the creeks and upper Lake, migrating to the main Lake.

Bass are easy to catch in the shallow water. It will get even better with the blue back Herring starting to spawn. Fish shallow with herring imitations around Rocky banks, points, and Shoals.
