Cooler Temps + Lower Boat Traffic = Great Fishing on Lanier.

Lake Lanier - Freshwater Fishing Report

Water Temperature: 78
Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater
Our boats are doing well on downlined bluebacks fished 30 to 60 feet deep over the channel and in the mouths of creeks. Leadcore is still producing some nice fish out over the channel. Capt. Mack's 4 arm u rigs are also working. We are catching some big spots, largemouth, catfish, and a few yellow perch while downlining. Overall, the fishing has been great most mornings and afternoons since my last report. Fall is in the air and this means it's time to get your top water rods ready. As the surface temps get down in the 70's we will begin to see busting stripers on the surface. Last year in the fall, top water lasted 2 months once it got started. This report is brought to you by Shane Watson Guide Service, Hammond's Fishing Center, Carolina Skiff Boats, and Batteries Plus. We Appreciate Your Business.
