Great Striper Fishing on Lanier

Capt. Scott Collins
January 15, 2009
Lake Lanier - Freshwater Fishing Report

Striper fishing on Lanier doesn't get much better than this or more exciting. We boated many stripers this morning . The fish are holding on South End points. Pull Herring and Trout on Flat Lines. We also boated a couple smaller fish on top water, as they were pushing bait right up against the bank. I have found fish deeper and surprisingly shallower than normal.

Be ready for anything, and when you get on the fish hold on they are biting. This colder weather coming through is starting to turn them on. Winter time is my favorite time of year to fish and an anglers best shot at boating a Trophy call me if your interested in booking a trip. I have dates open next week.
