Lake Lanier - Freshwater Fishing Report
Its really nice to see the Lake up couple of feet. Striper fishing has been hit or miss, mostly hit. The Stripers have moved up a little shallower; flat lines are producing in the morning, and down lines are producing later in the day. Birds are always a good indicator if fish are in the area. The Stripers are still rolling early. When you see them rolling throw a smaller buck tail jig, or a smoke shad zoom fluke with a jig head. The best bite continues to be Mid lake and South. We did very well today with the stripers
Bass fishing has been on fire! Look for fish on brush piles 30-50 feet deep. Work a flex it spoon around the edges of the brush pile for consistant strikes. We put huge numbers of bass in the boat today using this technique. Certain plastics droped shot are also working. What a way to end a great day fishing. The bass are very visible on your depth finder this time of year. See you on the water. Call me if you would like to book a trip and experience Lake Lanier winter time fishing at it's finest.
