Lake Lanier - Freshwater Fishing Report
Shane Watson Guide Service Report (06-11-10). The striper fishing has been great on Lake Lanier this week and this morning was no exception. We caught and released many stripers up to 15 pounds on downlined bluebacks fished 25-30 feet deep over a 35 to 60 foot bottom in the middle to the mouths of creeks. Our boats have been out on guide trips everyday and several things have been working. Downline bluebacks continue to produce best. Capt. Mack's 4 arm u-rigs are also working well and some of our boats have done well on Spro Dawgs, McSticks, Super Spooks, and on Redfins. These baits are producing a mix of stripers and big spots. Overall, the striper fishing has been great and will only improve on into July, August, and September. This report is brought to you by Shane Watson Guide Service www.lakelanierstripers.com, Hammond's Fishing Center, and Carolina Skiff Boats. Good Fishing.
