Lake Lanier - Freshwater Fishing Report

Shane Watson Guide Service Report (04-12-10). I've been down in Panama City for the last week or so and the Sheepshead, Pompano, and Cobia fishing was great. On the the Cobia, live eels worked best. On the sheepshead, it was live shrimp, and on the Pompano it was small jigs. There were plenty of action around the jetties at St. Andrews. On the Cobia, we road back and forth from Panama City to Destin and sight fished. The weather and the fishing was great. While I was down there, I had our guide boats out on trips everyday on Lake Lanier. Our boats said the fishing on Lanier had been very good all week. They had done well on stripers and spotted bass on freelined bluebacks and Spro McSticks fished from the backs to the mouths of mid-lake and southend creeks. This report is brought to you by Shane Watson Guide Service www.lakelanierstripers.com, Hammond's Fishing Center, and Carolina Skiff Boats. Good Fishing.
