Lake Lanier is producing some big stripers.

Lake Lanier - Freshwater Fishing Report

Overall, striper fishing is hit or miss. For those willing to catch big gizzards or dump the cash on large trout there is a good big fish bite occuring. Up either river, fish the areas around the tempature breaks. The large live bait (over 10 inches) on flat lines, planer boards and floats are producing. Keep your boat speed right around 1 mph. Key areas to target are flats and points that drop off into the river channel

The middle to backs of the lower end creeks are also producing some large fish using the same baits and methods. Key on the flats.

Target Species:

striped bass, striper
