Lake Lanier Striper Fishing

Capt. Scott Collins
June 3, 2011
Lake Lanier - Freshwater Fishing Report

Striper fishing on Lanier has really picked up. We have been catching some Stripers up shallow around brush piles in the morning, with acouple of fish still visibly surfacing. These fish have been hitting red fins, magic swimmers, jerk baits, and flat lines. We have also been catching some bigger fish in the 60-90 foot depth range on down-lines. The best bite is just north of Browns Bridge. Fishing is getting more consistent, the fish are just now starting to get into the summer time pattern. We still have a couple of open dates in June.
